Wonders of Kenya Safari takes you on a journey through Kenya’s top rewarding parks in a span of 8 Days. Amboseli National Park home to thousands of elephants, plains game, and the Big Cats, perfectly set with Mount Kilimanjaro at its backdrop, enjoy a visit to an authentic Maasai Village which we support under our 501(C)(3) non-profit, Friends of Woni Kenya International, INC. Next is to the scenically and centrally located Rift Valley which sets for the perfect break between your drive from Amboseli and Masai Mara for an overnight. Here you can enjoy optional active activities such as a boat trip or hiking in the wild lands. Finally descend the scenic Rift Valley with a stop at a view point before entering the splendid Masai Mara, truly the most exciting and favored park in Africa for the best wildlife encounters in a magnificent arena and enjoy the high-action packed game drives.

Day to Day Itinerary

DAY 1: Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Eka Hotelfor overnight.

Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya which is situated at 1,670 meters above sea level. A modern developing city of modern contrasts, Nairobi is a rich mixture of different ethnic groups, boasting near perfect climate all year round.

DAY 2: Amboseli National Park

0800hrs:After breakfast your driver guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. A late afternoon game drive is conducted thereafter returning to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli is home to thousands of elephants, made popular by natural history documentaries such as 'Echo of the elephants' and is a beautiful park with far reaching plains, salt lake and the magnificent backdrop of Kilimanjaro and the easily approachable wildlife.

DAY 3: Amboseli National Park

0600hrs:Enjoy anearly morning game drive and late afternoon game drive in the Amboseli National Park. Mid-Morning spent by visiting an authentic Maasai Village which we support under our 501(C)(3) non-profit, Friends of Woni Kenya International, INC. Learn the ways of life of the Maasai people, their culture and visit their pre-school and meet the young children in class. All meals dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

DAY 4: Rift Valley – Lake Naivasha

0800hrs: After breakfast drive to the Rift Valley region arriving at the shores of Lake Naivasha in time for lunch at the Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.An optional boat trip can be enjoyed in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in the Kenya section of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, and is located northwest of Nairobi with the town of Naivasha on its north eastern shore. At 6,200 ft above sea level, the lake is the highest point in the Kenyan rift, and is set in a complex geological combination of volcanic rocks and sedimentary deposits from much larger Pleistocene era lake. The main activity is acclimatization on your safari or an optional boat ride on the lake and sundowner at the lodge.

DAY 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

0800hrs: After breakfast depart and descend the Rift valley making a stop at the escarpment for magnificent views if the valley floor. Proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the ILkeliani Camp. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive thereafter returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Nestled in a river glade in the Masai Mara Reserve, the area is a favorite for elephants coming to drink from the Talek River. The camp has been designed to combine the old traditional safari style with a modern and fresh feel. Ilkeliani Camp offers only 17 tents and each commanding views of the plains and the wildlife action throughout the day. It is a permanent camp designed along ecofriendly principles. The ethos leave a minimum foot print on nature.

DAY 6: Masai Mara National Reserve

Today we have the option of exploring the reserve on a full day game viewing drive with lunch taken as picnic or on an early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives with all meals at the camp.

Wildlife is abundant in the area and game-viewing is good any time of the year. Large numbers of other plains game including zebra, different species of antelopes, giraffe and warthog, there are many prides of lions, which follow the migrating herds, but most are resident in the area all the year round. The Mara is a perfect kingdom for these lions, the most powerful of hunters, who dominate the grasslands. Cheetahs, spotted and striped hyena, and smaller predators including all three types of jackal also roam the Mara area. Leopard tend to be solitary, but territorial and are regularly spotted in daytime foraging potential prey

DAY 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

0600hrs: Enjoy an early morning cup of Kenyan coffee or tea before departing the camp for an early morning game drive and returning later for a full breakfast. Mid-morning is spent at leisure before embarking on your last game drive this afternoon and returning to the camp for a sundowner, candle-lit dinner and overnight at the Ilkeliani Camp.

DAY 8: End of Safari – Out of Africa Tour – Departure

After breakfast, depart and drive back to Nairobi, clients arriving at the Makutano Grill for lunch thereafter partaking the Out of Africa Tour which will take them to the Giraffe Center and Karen Blixen Museum. A farewell dinner will be enjoyed at the Carnivore Restaurant before clients are transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for their outbound flight.
